I am an Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR) Certified Clinician. Early in my career, I realized the clients I was seeing needed something different from "talk therapy" to truly heal. Helping people to manage their fear, anger and sadness that that was a result from their trauma wasn't enough. Therefore, I set out to become an EMDR clinician; I wanted to learn how to make the brain heal and I did.
I believe for therapy to be most effective, it is imperative to uncover the underlying beliefs and events that are the root of one’s present day problem(s). I view the therapeutic relationship as one in which a team effort is required; the therapist, client and in some situations, the client's loved ones, must work together to make change.
